"He said anything?" Fury asked from the jet's communicator.
"Not a word." Natasha shakily answered.
"Just get him here. We're low on time."
The flight back to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters was an awkward one. Natasha and the pilot in the front, Steve Rogers and Tony Stark standing behind them with Stark was messing around with Rogers after discussing how Loki gave up without that much of a fight, and Loki sitting on the side seat with you sitting right across from him. Occasionally when your eyes met his, he gives you a small smile with the cutest wink. It made you feel a tingle inside and look away from him contemplating if it's a good or bad sensation.
"Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in." Steve sounded serious.
"Yeah, there's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you," Stark snorted back.
Then something hit you....
"Hey, Natasha," you asked turning your head to the cockpit. Natasha was like a big sister to you. Even though your skills as an assassin rivals against hers, she still has far more experience than you do, which made you look up to her. Plus interrogation never was your forte unlike her, who happens to be a master at it. She turned her head slightly to you signaling she's all ears. "How'd you know I was there? I never called for backup."
"Fury paged us saying you needed help," she answered. "He told us you were having trouble when he saw you from the satellite." You groaned and sighed at the same time while holding your head down onto your hands knowing you won't hear the end of it from Fury saying how you said you never failed but apparently did.
Suddenly, a crash of lightning and thunder appeared out of nowhere in the sky.
"Where's this coming from?" Natasha mumbled nervously looking around the window of the cockpit.
Another wave of thunder caused everyone to look up at the windows seeing the parade of lighting everywhere. You looked at Loki, who seemed very anxious and worried; you began to worry as well...for him.
"What's the matter? Scared of a little lighting?" Rogers asked the now worried god.
"I'm not overly fond of what follows," he replied. A pit began to hit you inside as you become more uneasy for Loki's sake.
"Loki..." you whispered to him in fear. He looks back down meeting your (e/c) eyes.
"Do not fret, my dear," he quietly replied to you. "It is not you who he's after."
'What does he mean by that? Who's 'he?'' Your mind boggling with curiosity once again.
Everyone caught their attention up at the top of the jet. Then you see Tony putting his helmet on and opened the back of the jet.
"What are you doing?!" you and Steve asked in unison. A muscular man with long blonde hair and red cape appeared on the opening of the jet holding a large hammer. The sight of him made Loki go into shock.
"Loki! What's going on?! Who is that?!" you yelled trying to ask him through the vacuum of the jet opening. Iron Man charged up his beam until he was launched back into Rogers by the large hammer. The blonde man then grabbed Loki out of his seat gripping onto his throat. For some reason, seeing Loki struggling like that set an anger inside of you, boiling it to your core. You unfasten yourself from the seat, but before you could do anything else, the mysterious man swung his hammer and plunged into the dark sky carrying Loki with him.
"Now there's that guy...." Tony sighed.
"Another Asgardian?" you heard Natasha say.
"Is that guy a friendly?" Steve put his hood and helmet on in a rush.
"Doesn't matter. If he frees Loki or kills him, the tesseract's lost," Tony replied with the most serious tone you've heard him speak.
'Kills him?!' Everything inside of you just sank by those words.
"Stark, we need a plan of attack!" Steve barked in desperation.
"I have a plan. Attack." Tony shoots out of the jet chasing after the two. Rogers sighed and grabs the parachute bag behind you.
"I'd sit this one out, Cap," Natasha suggesting to him as he straps the parachute on his back.
"I don't see how I can."
"These guys come from legend. They're basically gods."
"There's only one god, ma'am. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that." He then grabbed his shield and jumped out following Stark's path in the sky leaving Natasha sighing and you standing there. Not wanting to be the only one left, you grabbed the last parachute bag from the railings and strapped it on yourself.
"(y/n), you're not going too, are you?" Natasha asked with her eyes wide at you.
"This was my mission in the first place, and I have to finish it!" you replied double checking your weapons.
"Do you even know who or what you're dealing with?" You stared at the seat Loki was in, now occupied by emptiness, for a few seconds.
"I have a feeling I do...." With that, you jumped off the jet diving through the black clouds.
