Blunt Weapon: Ch. 8 (LokiXReader)

“What a mess,” you whispered to yourself making your way towards the lab while holding your head the whole entire time. Everything has become hectic: you failed your mission for the first time ever, fell in love with a criminal just to have your feelings shattered by him, and everyone in S.H.I.E.L.D. looking at you like you’re some kind of nut case. The soles of your boots clanked rapidly against the metal floor of the helicarrier. You finally made your way into the bright white lab to find everyone in the room arguing and talking over each other.

“Uh...” Everyone stopped in an instant and looked at you standing in the doorway. The sudden silence and sea of eyes made you feel very uncomfortable inside and out.

“Where have you been?!” Fury exclaimed at you.

“Why should it matter?” you spat back. Your eyes made a quick glance at Steve arguing with Tony and daring him to put on his Iron Man suit. Then you caught sight of the Hydra weapon on the table and stared at it wide eyed. “That’s the weapon Hydra used with the tesseract back in 1942.” You then turned your head to see the screen showing the tesseract inside a missile. “ What the hell is that?!” you screamed pointing at the screen.

“That’s none of your con-” You cut Fury off.

“Something like that can have a blast over a thousand times more deadly than the nukes of Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined!”

“S.H.I.E.L.D. is planning to use the tesseract to make weapons of mass destruction,” Bruce said out of disgust. Your eyes grew even wider then it decreased into a glare right at Fury.

“He was right about you. He was right about all of this!”

“Who-?” Fury was interrupted by the sound of a series of soft beeps coming from the screen behind everyone indicating the location of the tesseract. You watched Bruce walk over to the computer as Tony and Steve continue their feud.

“Oh my god....” he softly said slowly taking off his glasses.

“What? What’s up?” You made your way to Bruce as he looked up at you with a face like he saw a ghost then back at the screen.

“The tesseract is in-”

BOOM

Everything became bright from an explosion coming from the middle of the lab sending everyone at different directions. You landed on the floor of the lab next to Steve and Tony.

“What the hell?!” you grunted getting up. Steve and Tony looked up at each other.

“Put on the suit,” Steve said to Tony.

“Yep.” They both stood up frantically. “You ok, (y/n)?”

“I’m fine! Just go!” You motioned them out of the lab while you ran the opposite direction. ‘Loki. Please be safe.’

You ran passed a number of agents rushing passed you. The sight of the bright sparks, white smoke, and glaring red lights of the alarm impaired your vision causing you to trip on a pipe sticking out from the wall. You fell hard on the floor with a loud grunt, and a pair of black boots came up to your face. You turned your head up to see Clint looking down at you with extremely icy blue eyes.

“Clint?” He rose his bow above his head and swung it down at your head, but you rolled out of the way just in time and jumped up to your feet. He swung his bow from the side , but you managed to avoid it again by sliding between his legs and made a run for it. “Sorry, Clint! We’ll play later!” you yelled down the hall running for dear life. ‘I’m far too busy to be messing around right now.’ You entered your way into the room where Loki was kept in. His head rose up and gave you the biggest smile but turned into a frown when he saw your bitter face.

“Is something else troubling you, love?” he asked. Your eyes became filled with tears of anger.

“You were right, Loki. You were right about everything. About S.H.I.E.L.D., about their lies, everything!” You stomped to the control panel and typed in a bunch of code overriding the system.

“What are you doing exactly, my dear?”

“I’m trying to override the security system to get you out of here. Since Fury doesn’t trust me anymore, not like he has in the first place, I’m not authorized to do this. But what he doesn’t know is that I know a back way through their whole entire system inside-out.” A heavy sigh escaped from your lungs as your fingers moved rapidly along the screen. “I just can’t believe I was that stupid to think they weren’t hiding a weapon plan. I could’ve seen that right away if I had looked.”

“Please don’t degrade yourself like that. You knew not of their capabilities.” His voice sounding so calm. He knew what to say at the exact time. Maybe that’s what made you fall for him. After a few minutes, the door of his cell finally opened. He walked out which gave you the chance to run into his arms. He locked you into a tight embrace enjoying the chance to hold you again as tears of joy mixed with your tears of anger from your eyes.

“I do apologize that you had to found out the hard way. Please don’t cry,” he said wiping away every tear drop. His soothing voice was just what you needed. After seeing all the plan about S.H.I.E.L.D.’s true plans with the tesseract, anything Loki says sound believable. Another explosion followed by a roar from what sounds like the Hulk echoed around the room.

“What in the world is going on?”

“My military has come for me. And it seems the mindless beast has awakened according to plan.” He took your hand and enclosed it with his. His emerald eyes bore into your (e/c) ones as his voice dropped to a serious tone. “Come with me. Become my queen. And together we shall rule this realm and bring true peace.” His demands seemed so sudden, but you accepted without hesitation. A large smile came across his face as he gave you another tight embrace then kissed you with so much passion you started seeing stars behind your closed eyes. It felt too soon when he let go of you, and you ran back to the control panel to get more into S.H.I.E.L.D.’s system until you heard a familiar voice.

“(y/n)! NO!” You turned your head and saw Thor running towards Loki but went right through him making him land face down in the cell. The real Loki next to you motioned you to close the door. You punched a couple of buttons to have the cell doors close with the god of thunder inside.

“Are you ever not going to fall for that?” he asked with his hand behind him. Thor looked at his brother then at you.

“Why (y/n?)” You silently mouthed to him “sorry” before looking down at the ground. You couldn’t bare to see the look Thor was giving to you. A couple of men in military gear and battle rifles walked in and pointed their guns right at you.

“Stop!” the god of mischief commanded to them. The soldiers lowered their weapons slightly. “She is to be the new queen. You are to keep her safe and not lay a single scratch on her.” His words shocked the captured god.

“New queen?” Thor was baffled. You looked up at him as he gave you a look of disbelief. “(y/n), you’re not actually going to...”

“Yes. Thor. I’m actually gonna help Loki rule this planet and finally put an end to all this madness our race has brought.” Your words filled Loki with so much happiness. His armed wrapped around you from behind as he smirks at his half-brother in triumph.

“See this, brother? A Midgardian who has the ability to see how pathetic her own race truly is, and I have seemed to capture her heart.” He gave you a quick kiss on the cheek making you look away and blush. “And her to mine.”

“(y/n), stop and think straight! This is madness!” Thor yelled punching the glass.

“Please...just shut up, Thor,” you responded quietly. Loki looked at your saddened face. Though he was worried about you, he still had to keep a hardened expression in front of Thor. His arms moved away from you as he stood up straight.

“You.” He pointed one of the soldier while walking towards him. The soldier started to shake his knees in fear of what the god might do. “Escort the queen to the jet safely. And if even a slight bump appears upon her skin...” He grabs him by the throat and proceeds to choke the man speaking to him darkly. “I’ll see to it that your blood will be spilled, and your skull split in two. Understood?” The soldier weakly nodded while struggling for air. Loki releases him sending him to the ground gasping for air. You ran next to Loki’s side.

“What about you? I’m not leaving you!” The god turns to you and places his palm lightly on the side of your face stroking your cheek.

“Fret not, my love. I will follow soon after my business is done here.” He then gave you a smile. That same sweet and soft smile that makes you feel like everything was going to be alright. You nodded in reply before Loki leaned towards you placing his lips on yours giving you the same soft petaled kiss from when you two first met. You almost melted inside until the soldier, who finally had his fair share of air, cleared his throat. The kiss broke leaving you blushing out of embarrassment, and Loki grinning at your expression. “Now go.” You nodded and exited out of the room with your escort until the other god yelled at you.

“(y/n)! Stop!” The sound of a hammer hitting the glass cage echoed through the room followed by the metallic movements around the cage. You looked back at Thor then walked away not wanting to see the betrayal in his face.
